Many of the articles at FutureNovo include a FutureLine, a GroupLine or both. Typically, when you're logged in, you will see your FutureLine on these pages. You can't create or edit your FutureLine unless you're logged in.

[edit] Build it

The first time you see your FutureLine, it will be blank. This is because you haven't made any forecasts yet. By clicking on the 'Edit' button in your FutureLine's lower right-hand corner, you can enter your forecasts for any or all of the events currently tracked on FutureNovo. What year will the first lunar colony be established? When will we have self-driving cars? How long until computers are woven into our clothing? This is the place to have your say.

[edit] Edit it

The Event Edit page lists the future technology or event, a description and your forecast date. Additionally, there is a field for entering the reasoning behind your forecast and an 'Include' checkbox. The checkbox allows you to fill in the other fields without actually including the event in your FutureLine.

Just like User pages, you are the only person who can edit your FutureLine. As you and others create your forecasts they are automatically compiled into the GroupLines.

[edit] Use it

You can easily compare your forecasts with the FutureNovo community. Options provided under the GroupLine allow you to limit the data by category and to examine minimum, average and maximum forecast dates. Other users' FutureLines can be found on their User pages.
